Today, 17 September 2026, Team Climate Change Naivasha joined stakeholders at the groundbreaking ceremony of the NTPx Fecal Sludge Treatment Plant in Naivasha.
The project represents an important step towards sustainable sanitation, responsible waste management and environmental protection. It demonstrates how materials that are often considered waste can be treated and converted into useful resources.
The planned treatment process will transform fecal sludge and biomass into treated effluent and solid fuel briquettes. This approach can help reduce the environmental impacts associated with poorly managed waste while creating opportunities to recover value from materials that would otherwise be discarded.
